We coordinate a range of community events. In the past year we've hosted champagne and canapés evenings, bridge competitions, a choir performance, an art show and a golf day, as well as regular BBQ's and morning teas.
Residents have formed a walking group, a knitting group, hold happy hours and bbqs and also choose interesting destinations for trips on the St Luke's bus.

We know what a big decision it is to sell one's home and move to a retirement community and this seminar gave people considering a move, the chance to gather a lot of information. Our residents were the hit of the day! Four of them had kindly agreed to sit on the 'Residents' Panel' and answer questions from the audience about what life is really like at St Luke's Little Bay.
There were very informative guest speakers too: a downsizing-your-home specialist, a lawyer with enormous expertise in retirement villages, wills and contracts and a Financial Planner who is deeply knowledgeable on retirement income strategies. The morning tea and lunch gave everyone the chance to chat and ask lots of questions in a relaxed, informal setting.
Over 200 pictures were entered in our over 55s art show and the standard of entries by local artists and photographers was truly impressive.
Some of our residents volunteered to take turns on the welcome desk. Many of the visitors were delighted to take the opportunity to ask residents what life is really like at Little Bay and our volunteers reported that they thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Approximately 350 people viewed the art show and a great number of them toured the display apartments. Three apartments were sold on the day!
With jazz music by the Todd Hardy trio and catering by chef Mark, everyone enjoyed themselves relaxing in the Residents' lounge. And as always the expert Barista making complimentary cappuccinos on our expresso coffee machine was very, very popular.
Residents and their invited guests enjoyed a cocktail party and a special preview of the art show. Our chef, Mark created beautiful finger food and served champagne and wines.
Residents and guests enjoyed a wonderful BBQ lunch and an afternoon of jazz as Little Bay Apartments got into the groove. Entertainment was provided by ‘Cassy & the Bossa Beats’ and residents enjoyed quite a feast with some lovely wines, at the tables on our outdoor terrace.
Little Bay Apartments held a Golf Day and lunch for over 40 lady golf enthusiasts from nearby clubs. After a morning round everyone enjoyed lunch in the Coast Golf Course’s restaurant where they were treated to a spirited talk on Healthy Ageing by Ita Buttrose. The day proved to be a great success with Ita enjoying coffee and chats with attendees after her presentation.
Little Bay Apartments residents were joined by family and friends for a highly entertaining and sociable afternoon of bridge. Players of all standards enjoyed the competition. This was the second bridge afternoon held in the Residents' lounge and again proved very popular.
